With great anticipation, Hitomi filled out an application form, signed waivers, and paid a hefty sum for the journey of a lifetime. She couldn’t believe her luck when the day finally arrived. Standing before the enigmatic Chrono Travel agency, Hitomi felt a mixture of excitement and trepidation.

“Watanabe Hitomi?” A sharply dressed man in a suit approached her.

“That’s me.” Hitomi’s voice quivered with excitement.

“Welcome to Chrono Travel, Ms. Watanabe.” The man said with a knowing smile. “Please, follow me.”

Inside the agency, he led Hitomi to a room bathed in a soft blue light. In the centre of the room stood what looked like a futuristic pod. Wires and cables connected it to an array of complex machinery. The time machine. A friendly technician explained the process to Hitomi. “You’ll be travelling to the late Cretaceous period, approximately 68 million years ago.” He said. “You’ll have two hours to observe the dinosaurs and the primeval world. Remember, no interaction with the past, and avoid disrupting the timeline at all costs.”

Hitomi nodded, her heart racing. She stepped into the pod, and the door sealed behind her. The technician entered coordinates on a nearby console, and the room hummed with energy. Seconds later, Hitomi felt a strange sensation, like being pulled in every direction at once. The world around her blurred and twisted until... She emerged in a world unlike any she had ever known.
