Crazy Magical
Meet Crazy Dog Momma
On our Wellington walk, cruising down the Crescent with my dogs Burger and KAS.. Burger is a literal giant of a dog, part Rotti, part Shepherd, all happy. Just casts an imposing shadow. KAS is equally as large, just leaner, and all puppy eyes and still pretty wild. She's a really big lady. I love my giant dogs, and I enjoy Big Dog privilege when walking them. As in, people cross the street to give us plenty of space! So here we are, on our stroll, I'm all chill just judging people's mansions. Clearly money can't buy taste.
Each mansion is more tacky or tasteless than the last. Oh sure, how bad can they be? Well, these are the types of homes with ensuite bathrooms with two different sinks, two mirrors and no medicine cabinet. I'm a huge fan of double sinks. But what, rich people don't need polysporin? If you cut them, do they not bleed?
Well, a McMansion lacking a medicine cabinet is just a sign of someone lacking common sense.
How do I know about the complete lack of pharmaceutical storage? The missing medicine cabinets are so obvious! Cause the bathroom also has full length, floor to ceiling windows. Yup. All of Winnipeg can see the rich pee.
So. Walking. Judging. It's a vibe. Just cruising along. Then, suddenly out of nowhere. Or perhaps somewhere. But where isn't important. It's what! Two tiny whirly things come running, spinning, flying at us. Yip. Yip. Yippee! Poodles!
I look down the path. CRAZY DOG MOMMA.
She's got it written on her sweater! Whether court ordered or an unfortunate Christmas gift, Fair Warning!
Crazy Dog Momma is grinning. Bug eyed, big toothy grin. Watching her tiny fluffy and goofy yappy pets running straight towards my dogs. My gigantic towering beast dogs.
What's Crazy Dog Momma even thinking?Maybe she's plotting the demise of her dogs. Sending them into the jaws of certain death. Maybe she's an optimist, hoping for a happy ending. Maybe she's just completely crazy.
Little dogs are swirling. Spinning. Yapping. Under Burger. Through KAS' legs. Yip. Yap. Yip. Yap. KAS and Burger go crazy! Play mode activated. Their dog-in-law, Magik, resembles these two, only cuter. They are here for the poodle party!
I'm still holding leashes. My arms being yanked around like a crazy marionette. Flinging and gesturing as I dance, pulled by strings. People stare out their full length bathroom windows. I'm being judged! Me, with a well stocked medicine cabinet being judged by the likes of them! It's too much.
Gotta act fast. River Heights Reputation on the line.
I get KAS' attention. She sits. One arm saved.
I'm trying to get through to Burg. I try treats. I try better treats. Better better treats. Nothing. I try logic "Burger, calm down! This isn't Magik"
By now Crazy Dog Momma has joined us.
"Oh, but it is! Today is a beautiful, magical day!"
Can't argue with crazy.
"I'm here everyday at this time" she grins eyes wide with crazy.
Guess where I won't be tomorrow.
That is the end of Crazy Magical . Thanks for reading.
