"False Prophet" | Cozy Halloween
A preacher appears on a troubled street corner on Halloween night, but a hidden darkness follows him, waiting for the right soul to claim.
Halloween Eve - October 30th
Location:
West 666 Street, Northwest, Washington, D.C., is a corner where lost souls gather to drown their sorrows in alcoholic drinks.
A preacher takes his stand on this corner and delivers a sermon.
The Preacher:
“Gather, all you lost souls. The Divine is nearby. Embrace Him!”
The Lost Souls listen to the preacher’s sermon and yearn for salvation, yet they fear the judgment from their fellow alcoholic buddies, so they hold back from asking for divine help.
The Preacher:
“I have not come to call the righteous, but to offer redemption to gluttonous sinners.”
A Lost Soul:
“I long to be saved!”
The Preacher:
“Yes, my child. I can baptize you, and you shall receive a new spirit within you, guiding you to overcome your addiction to liquor!”
A Lost Soul:
“I desire to be baptized with a new spirit and saved from evil and harm.”
The Preacher:
“Come, my child. I shall baptize you.”
The “false prophet,” disguised as a prophet from God, takes the gluttonous lost soul by the hand and leads him to a Storefront Church. Once inside the unholy place, the door is sealed shut. The false prophet (Satan’s preacher) reveals his true form as a demon!
“My Father is Satan!”
“I shall baptize you in the name of Lord Satan.”
“This is our night of darkness, Halloween.”
“This is our night, we, the messengers of darkness, are granted the power to claim as many souls as possible, those who indulge in the seven deadly sins.”
“Your sin is gluttony, drowning yourself in liquor.”
“You shall be saved by darkness, to conquer your addiction.”
“Your new spirit shall be a demon spirit, not God’s holy spirit!”
“CHRIST JESUS, SAVE ME!” exclaims the lost soul.
Outside, the wind howls down West 666 Street as if mourning the lost soul now trapped within the demon’s grasp. The other lost souls, still lingering on the corner with bottles in hand, feel a sudden chill crawling up their spines. Though they cannot see what has happened behind the sealed church door, their spirits sense a shift, an unseen darkness tightening its grip over the block.
Some glance toward the storefront chapel, its windows now glowing with an eerie, pulsating red light. Fear roots them in place. They whisper among themselves, wondering whether the preacher’s promises were truly divine or something far more sinister. Yet no one dared to approach. Their addictions, their shame, and their disbelief bind them like chains.
Inside the unholy sanctuary, the demon-preacher raises his clawed hands, preparing to perform a mockery of baptism. Shadows twist along the walls, forming grotesque shapes that seem to laugh at the terrified soul. The air thickens with the stench of sulfur, and the lost soul feels his strength slipping away.
Still, he cries out again, this time with every ounce of desperation left in him:
“CHRIST JESUS, SAVE ME… BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!”
But outside, the clock strikes midnight. And on Halloween Night, midnight belongs to darkness.
On the night of Halloween, as the door to “salvation” (deliverance from sin and its consequences; preservation from harm, ruin, or loss), through Christ Jesus, is firmly closed, the fate of the lost souls is sealed.
They had been granted ample opportunities to seek forgiveness for their sins in the name of Christ Jesus. Sadly, the arrival of Satan’s emissary marked the end of their chances.
