SuperNova is about an astronaut called Jack Donohue who suffers from PTSD after an alien encounter. Now these aliens are getting ready to invade earth!

Chapter 1

Chapter 1: Haunting Memories

The small town of Crestwood, Texas, lay beneath the expansive Texas sky, seemingly untouched by the tumultuous events of the world beyond. The residents went about their daily lives, blissfully unaware of the darkness that haunted one of their own—Jack Donohue, a former astronaut who had ventured where no human had gone before. But he hadn't returned unscathed.
Jack lived in a modest farmhouse on the outskirts of Crestwood, where the nights were quiet, and the stars shone brilliantly. He had once been a celebrated astronaut, a hero who had explored the far reaches of space, but that was before the alien encounter on the dark side of the moon.
PTSD had its relentless grip on Jack's mind. Night after night, he was plagued by vivid, terrifying visions of the extraterrestrial creatures he had encountered during that fateful mission. Their eerie, ethereal forms haunted his dreams and even his waking hours, leaving him a trembling, paranoid mess.
Jack sat in his dimly lit living room, a collection of grainy photographs and classified documents spread across his coffee table. He had grown a thick beard and seldom ventured outside. His only solace was in the company of his dog, Max, who remained loyal through it all. Max's constant presence was the only thing that kept Jack from completely losing himself to the darkness within.
The ringing of his landline phone pierced through the silence. Startled, Jack fumbled to pick it up.
"Jack, it's me," a voice whispered on the other end, a voice Jack recognized immediately. It was Stacey Macaulay, the investigative news reporter who had covered Jack's story from the beginning.
"What do you want, Stacey?" Jack muttered, his voice edged with bitterness.
"I heard you've been having those visions again," Stacey said, her voice tinged with concern. "I think it's time we talked, in person."
Jack hesitated but ultimately agreed. Stacey had been one of the few who believed him, even when the rest of the world dismissed his claims as the ramblings of a madman. She had been a lifeline for him in this sea of skepticism.
Stacey arrived at Jack's farmhouse that evening. The sun had begun its descent, casting long shadows across the tranquil Texas countryside. She knocked on the weathered wooden door, and Max barked from inside.
Jack opened the door, his eyes bloodshot and weary. Stacey took in his disheveled appearance, the dark circles under his haunted eyes, and the photographs strewn across the living room.
"Come in," Jack muttered, stepping aside to let her enter.
As they sat in the dimly lit room, Stacey listened intently to Jack's harrowing account of the alien encounter on the moon. His voice quivered as he recounted the eerie, luminous beings that had descended upon him and his fellow astronauts.
"They looked at us, Stacey," Jack said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Their eyes... they were like pools of infinite darkness. I can't get their faces out of my mind."
Stacey leaned forward, placing a reassuring hand on his trembling shoulder. "Jack, you're not alone in this. I've been digging deeper into your story. There are others who've had similar experiences, but they're too afraid to speak out."
Jack shook his head, tears welling up in his eyes. "I've tried, Stacey. I've tried to tell people, but they all think I'm crazy. Some even offered me money to make up more wild stories for their YouTube channels."
Stacey's eyes hardened with determination. "We can't let that happen, Jack. I'll help you find the truth, no matter what it takes."
"This needs to be broadcast to the nation as soon as possible." Jack says, terrified. "The public need to know!"
"I'll see what I can do, but this needs to be fully researched and documented before I bring this to anybody."

Chapter 2: The Alien Obsession
While Stacey and Jack delved deeper into the mysteries of the moon and the extraterrestrial encounter, another resident of Crestwood had his own obsessions with aliens. Officer John Slack, a tall and lanky man with a penchant for conspiracy theories, had secretly dedicated his spare time to uncovering the truth about extraterrestrial life.
John sat in his dimly lit basement, surrounded by stacks of books, files, and a multitude of corkboards filled with cryptic notes and photographs. He had spent years gathering evidence, convinced that the government was hiding something monumental from the public.
His fascination with the unknown had led him to track Jack's story closely. John believed that Jack held the key to unveiling the extraterrestrial presence on Earth, and he was determined to assist in any way possible.
Late one evening, John received an anonymous message on his encrypted computer. It contained a video file labeled "Moon Encounter." The sender claimed to have insider information about the alien encounter Jack had experienced.
John watched the video, his eyes widening in astonishment. It showed classified footage of the moon mission, with Jack and his fellow astronauts exploring the lunar surface. The video then transitioned to eerie, unexplained phenomena—strange lights and shadowy figures. It was undeniable evidence of something otherworldly.
Intrigued and alarmed, John decided it was time to approach Jack directly. He needed to confirm the authenticity of the video and assess how much Jack truly knew about the extraterrestrial threat.
The following day, John, dressed in his police uniform, parked his patrol car a short distance from Jack's farmhouse. He didn't want to arouse suspicion. As he approached the front door, he could hear Jack and Stacey's voices inside.
Jack was in the middle of explaining his recurring nightmares when John knocked on the door.
Stacey's eyes widened in surprise when she saw the uniformed officer on Jack's doorstep.
"Jack," she whispered, "there's a police officer here."
Jack sighed heavily. "Just when I thought things couldn't get any weirder."
He opened the door, and John greeted him with a warm smile, though his eyes held a glimmer of intensity. "Jack Donohue? Officer John Slack. Mind if I come in for a moment?"
Suspicion gnawed at Jack, but he reluctantly stepped aside to let John enter. Stacey watched with a mix of curiosity and concern.
Once inside, John got straight to the point. "I've been following your story, Mr. Donohue. I believe there's more to it than meets the eye. I recently received some... intriguing information about your moon mission."
Jack's eyes narrowed. "What kind of information?"
John produced a small tablet and played the video he had received, revealing the classified footage of the moon mission and the mysterious occurrences that had taken place.
Stacey gasped as she watched, while Jack's face contorted in a mixture of shock and anguish.
"Where did you get this?" Jack demanded, his voice trembling.
John hesitated but decided it was time to reveal his true intentions. "I've been investigating extraterrestrial phenomena for years, Mr. Donohue. I believe you may hold the key to uncovering the truth about aliens on Earth."
"Can we use this on the news Stacey?" Jack asked, curiously and tentitavely. It was important to him that it's shown to the world, so he doesn't feel like he's going completely mad.
"I'll need to get it verified first to ensure it's genuine but it should be good." Stacey said confidently.
"I can confirm it's pretty genuine Stacey! it's like what I experienced in space" Jack exlaimed, making Stacey slightly concerned with his reaction, but also sympathetic.
"I understand that Jack but I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't get this verified on my own."
"I'm assisting in this as well" Officer John Slacked says, after staying quiet since the initial interaction "Since it is my video and all. Plus, I want to be a part of this uncovering too."
Jack and Stacey both agree to let John be a part of the investigation, after all having law enforcement on their side from the start can't be a bad thing, Jack thought as they headed to the sight of the supposed recording.

Part 3: Uncovering the Conspiracy

After a few months, the investigation brought up nothing but dead ends and wild goose chases.
But as Jack, Stacey, and Officer John Slack delved deeper into the mysterious video and the moon mission, they formed an unlikely alliance, each driven by their own motivations. Jack sought to conquer his demons and prove the reality of his experiences, Stacey yearned to uncover the truth for her journalistic career, and John harbored an obsession with aliens that had consumed him for years.
Their investigation led them to clandestine meetings in Jack's farmhouse, poring over classified documents, and interviewing former colleagues of Jack's who had remained tight-lipped about the moon mission. As they dug deeper, the evidence of a government cover-up grew more apparent.
One evening, as the trio huddled around Jack's dining table, Stacey received an encrypted email from an anonymous source. It contained an ominous message: "The aliens are coming."
The attachment was a series of satellite images showing strange objects approaching Earth. Jack's heart raced as he recognized the eerie, elongated shapes from his nightmares.
"They're real," Jack muttered, his voice quivering. "They're really coming."
Stacey and John exchanged worried glances. The evidence was mounting, and it was becoming increasingly clear that the government was preparing for an extraterrestrial event of unprecedented magnitude.
News of the impending alien arrival spread like wildfire through the secret channels of conspiracy theorists and UFO enthusiasts. YouTube channels buzzed with speculation, and the world's governments issued cryptic statements about the need for preparedness.
Meanwhile, in Crestwood, the tension was palpable. Jack's visions had grown more frequent and vivid, leaving him sleep-deprived and on edge. He knew he had to do something to prevent the impending catastrophe.

Part 4: The Countdown to Contact
Jack, Stacey, and Officer John Slack realized that time was running out. The aliens were closing in on Earth, and the world remained oblivious to the imminent threat. They needed to expose the truth before it was too late.
With the evidence they had gathered, they reached out to trusted contacts within the media, hoping to bypass government censorship. Stacey began working on a tell-all documentary, while John used his law enforcement connections to secure their safety.
As the days passed, the group became increasingly paranoid. They were convinced that government agents were monitoring their every move. Jack's farmhouse had transformed into a makeshift war room, filled with maps, charts, and communication equipment.
Stacey had secured a safe location for the group to meet—a remote cabin in the Texas wilderness, far from prying eyes. They gathered there one stormy night, as thunder rumbled in the distance.
"Stacey," Jack began, his voice shaking, "we have to get the truth out there, no matter the cost. The world needs to know."
Stacey nodded in agreement, her resolve unwavering. "We have the evidence, Jack. We'll expose the conspiracy and make sure the world is prepared for what's coming."
John paced the cabin, glancing out the window anxiously. "But how do we convince people? They'll think we're crazy."
Jack took a deep breath. "We'll need more than just evidence. We'll need to find a way to communicate with the aliens, to show them that humanity is ready to make peaceful contact."
The trio began brainstorming ideas, searching for a way to make their message heard. As the storm raged outside, they knew that time was of the essence.

Part 5: The Final Countdown
Weeks passed, and the trio worked tirelessly to prepare for the impending arrival of the aliens. Jack had designed a complex transmission system, hoping to send a message of peace and cooperation into space. Stacey had reached out to experts in the field of extraterrestrial communication, and John continued to gather evidence to support their claims.
The world was on edge as reports of strange phenomena and unexplained sightings continued to surface. Governments had begun to acknowledge the presence of unidentified objects in the skies but offered little information to the public.
As the final countdown to contact with the aliens approached, the tension reached its peak. Jack, Stacey, and John had gathered a small group of like-minded individuals who were willing to help them in their mission. They had all seen the evidence and believed in the impending threat.
On the designated night, the group assembled at a remote desert location, far from any prying eyes. Jack's transmission system had been set up, and the message of peace was ready to be sent into the cosmos.
The night sky was clear, and the stars twinkled overhead. Jack looked up at the heavens, his heart pounding with anticipation. "This is it," he said, his voice trembling. "We're about to make contact."
Stacey, standing by his side, nodded. "Let's hope they're listening."
With a deep breath, Jack activated the transmission. The message, a plea for understanding and cooperation, traveled into the depths of space at the speed of light.
As they watched the transmission's progress on a computer screen, a hush fell over the group. The seconds ticked by, and then, a response.
A series of faint, rhythmic lights appeared in the night sky, forming a pattern that seemed to respond to their message. The group watched in awe as the lights danced and shimmered, a silent communication from the unknown.
Tears filled Jack's eyes as he whispered, "They heard us."
The group celebrated their success, knowing that they had made a crucial step toward peaceful contact with the alien visitors. But the battle was far from over. The world needed to be prepared for the arrival of beings from beyond the stars, and the trio was determined to ensure that humanity would welcome them with open arms.
As the group dispersed and the night sky returned to its tranquil state, Jack, Stacey, and John shared a quiet moment of hope. The countdown to contact had begun, and they would do everything in their power to ensure that it would be a new beginning, not an end.
Little did they know that the aliens were watching, their enigmatic presence growing closer with each passing day. The fate of humanity hung in the balance, and the world would soon learn that the truth was stranger and more terrifying than they could ever have imagined.
