The black cat
He was sitting there at here door. She hadn't seen him in years. She left him at the humane society years ago. Strange and dangerous things happened whenever he was around.
There he was, midnight her old black cat. He was sitting at her door meowing a most wrenching cry. Amy didn't know what to do. She was terrified if she let him in; strange things would happen again. However, before she could even decide, the cat helped himself in. Then her daughter came downstairs and saw the cat; she knew at that moment she wasn't ever getting rid of him.
Amy shut and locked the door, then turned around and followed her daughter and the cat to the living room. Everything seemed normal at first, until she left the room to go cook dinner. Then, she suddenly heard a sound of glass breaking and her daughter crying. Amy ran into the living room and saw her daughter holding her arm. She had accidentally cut it by setting her arm down too hard on the glass top table; hence breaking the glass and cutting herself.
She looked around to find the cat, but he was nowhere to be found. She wrapped her daughter's arm and took her out to the car. Then, she went back inside and got her keys. She took one last look in the living room and saw the black cat. He was sitting right next to the broken table and meowing.
She slowly backed out of the room. She then turned and ran out the door. She put her car in drive and sped off. She looked in her rearview mirror and saw the cat sitting in front of her door. He was just flicking his tail from side to side, as though he had won some kind of victory.
She drove on until she got to the hospital. She pulled up in the emergency entrance and got her daughter settled inside. She then went and parked in the parking lot and walked back to the emergency entrance. The receptionist let her in the back and told her which room to go to. Amy went to her daughter's room and found her asleep.
The nurse told her she would probably be awake by morning. She told her that she could stay at the hotel next to their building. They had rooms reserved on the fifth floor for visitors of patients. Amy kissed her daughter on the forehead and went to the hotel. There she found a room right next to the elevators.
The elevators had vending machines in the waiting area. Amy grabbed a couple candy bars and a soda and went to her room. She was all settled in and ready to drift off to sleep, when she suddenly heard a cat's meow. She jumped up and looked out the window, thinking it came from outside. There was nothing, but when she opened her door; the black cat ran into the room and settled on her bed.
She shoed him off the bed and he ran to the couch. He settled in on the couch and went to sleep. Amy just sat there staring at him. She couldn't believe this cat had found her again. She flipped on her nightstand light and went to sleep herself.
The next morning, the cat was gone. Amy got up and went to the bathroom. She did her morning ritual of showering and cleaning her teeth. When she came out, the cat was back and was lying on the floor eating a mouse ge caught for his breakfast. Amy cautiously walked by him and grabbed her clothes from the suitcase on the lounge chair.
She got dressed as quickly as she could and snuck out the door before the cat could even look her way. She got in her car and drove over to the hospital. She spent the morning and most of the afternoon with her daughter. The doctor wanted her to stay at least one more night for observation. Amy agreed that was best and she left for the evening.
She got back to her hotel room and saw the cat was gone. She breathed out a sigh of relief and turned on the TV. She sat down and took off her shoes and settled in to watch her favorite tv show. She drifted off to sleep. Then, around three in the morning, she heard the meowing again.
She turned up the tv and went back to sleep. There was no way that thing was coming near her again. A few hours later, she woke up and made herself some coffee. As she waited it to finish brewing, she went and took a quick shower. When she came out, the cat was there on her bed, once again.
She threw her towel at it, but it just moved to the side and meowed back at her. Her phone began to ring. She rushed to it and answered. It was the doctor at the hospital. He said her daughter had some how slipped into a coma. She hung up and drove to the hospital right away.
Deep in her soul, she knew the cat had something to do with it. She went to the hospital and checked on her daughter. The doctor said there was nothing she could do at this point. That's when Amy decided she was going to have to get rid of the cat to someone she knew would make sure it stayed indoors. Her brother Danny loved cats and was well skilled at training them.
She went to the hotel room and grabbed the black cat. She put him in a carrier and drove him to her brother's house. She told her brother she never wanted to see it again. After telling him her story, he laughed but took the cat regardless. Amy was just glad to finally be rid of it.
When she got back to the hospital, her daughter had woke up. She knew at that moment it had to have been the cat. It was too much of a coincidence that her daughter was hurt while the cat was around. Now her daughter was better with the cat gone. From that moment on, Amy always stayed away from black cats.
That is the end of The black cat . Thanks for reading.
