“Over here we have our very own Wild Child! Isn’t she just beautiful?” The tour guide said. Everyone crowded near the fence to admire her. She was a sight indeed. Her body was hard and muscled. Her frame was thin wiry. Her skin brown from many years in the sun. Long matted dark hair trailed down around her waist. She crouched like animal and sniffed the air. Her nose was small and blended in with her features. Her amber eyes widespread, her brow thick, her cheeks had a chubby but sharp boned look. Her lips were large, and her teeth were serrated. She wore no clothes, every part of her could be seen. Her breasts were small but firm. Her legs were strong from running in the wilds and climbing the mountains. She had graceful movements when she moved around. She stood up and sniffed near the fence with the group of people. She spotted someone; they were leaning on the fence talking to another person. She trotted over on all fours and jumped up and grabbed their arm. She bit him, not too deep but it was painful none the less. He cried out and tried to pull away; her hold was too strong, she held him in place. Her eyes captivated him, held him true. She licked his wound and the bleeding stopped. She glared at the shocked girl that was with him and let out a deep throated growl. Then moved away her eyes never left the girl. The wild child had a snarl to her lip. She watched as the man and woman interacted. The female was concerned for him, the wound in his arm. He did his best to assure her he was fine. The word ‘rabies' was mentioned. It was suggested that he get it looked at. He only nodded as dark eyes of interest never left the wild child. Even though she was dirty and feral she was also quite strikingly beautiful underneath it all.
The tour guide asked the man a few questions and that before he left, they would have it checked. The girl fretted over the man. They were both young. She was a blonde bombshell. Buxom chest, round bubble butt, small shapely lips in a constant pierce. Her blue eyes were bright with concern. The man was dark haired, dark eyed, fit, slim and muscled. His hair was longer, like the girl’s. The wild child kept her attention on him. The tour guide led the group away and the wild child girl disappeared into bush.
This little tour mountain town was hidden up in Colorado State, an old mining town of wooden buildings, old west style. You could only get to this town by a gondola that went up the mountain peak. It would be a few hours until sundown and everyone would have to leave by dark. As of now so many people browsed around and explored the buildings. There were little gift shops to buy postcards, pictures of the town and its surroundings, even of the wild child. There were toys for children. Small plastic animal figures and plush toys, soft and cuddly. The girl and boy went inside one of the buildings. They were amazed at the really old furnishings that were still intact. The drawers to a desk still opened and closed relatively easily and the stuffing in the chairs were still comfortable to sit in. Everything was left in its original state. The floorboards creaked loudly as they walked around. They explored the whole building then came out and went to another one to look around then went to a gift shop to buy a few keep sakes.
They had grabbed a bunch of items and brought them to the counter to pay for them. No one was at the till. They waited a few minutes but still no one showed up. It was odd that no one was around. There had to be someone around would they not be closing up soon. They then heard something in the distance like people screaming. They went outside to look around but did not see anything. The boy pointed up and they went upstairs. They peeked out one of the windows. What they saw horrified them. People were running in different directions and were being chased by other wild like children. They were pouncing on people and eating them. They realized that they had to leave this place, or they too would end up as dinner. Where had these other creatures come from? The boy grabbed the girl’s hand, and they went back down the stairs. They reached the bottom level.
There, waited the wild child girl from earlier. The boys arm ached in response. She trotted over to them. She stood up on her hunches partly crouched. She looked at him then grabbed his arm. He did not try to pull away, he already knew her strength. She ripped away the bandage and examined his wound. It was healing very well, so well in fact that it would soon be gone. She licked his arm again. She moved away after she was done and he moved slowly around the wild child to leave the building. The girl tried to follow, but with a growl and leap, the wild child was upon her. They tumbled to the floor. The wild child bit into the girl’s throat. The boy stared on in horror then turned and ran out the door. He ran down the street into another house through it out its back door. He continued down another street to a building that was also three storeys high. Went in and latched the door closed. He went upstairs to the top level into a room where he was able to lock its door too. He looked out the window. People were still being chased and ravaged by the beasts. They were eating people. How could these wild people, if they could even be called that, do such a thing? He sat down in a corner with his head buried in his knees. He could not believe his girlfriend was now dead and probably eaten.
It was growing dark outside, and it had become unnaturally quiet. Then he heard something. It came from downstairs. Someone or more like something was coming up stairs. He began to panic. He needed to get out of this place. He went to the window and looked about. Saw nothing on the streets. He searched the room. Then he saw it as he looked up. A hatch. He climbed onto the old bed pushed the hatch open. He jumped up gripped the edges of the hatch and pulled himself up into the crawl space attic. He closed the hatch and crawled along until he came to a flat upright hatch. He undid the latch and it led to a flat roof surface. He kept low and crept his way to the edge. He looked over and saw the roof of another building attached. He climbed over the edge and hung down to drop. He fell on his back but was not hurt. Now he was on a second storey building. He went to the edge of this flat roof top. Looked about and did not see anything wandering about, but he did hear some kind of call or cry and it was nearby. A bunch of figures came from different directions to the building that he had been hiding in. He waited and then made his move to jump to another roof top. He went from building to building and made his way toward the gondola. He did not know if he would make it out alive, but he had to try. He looked around when he reached every roof top. Fear drove him onward. So far so good no one followed him. There were no more rooftops, they had ended. It was time to move on the ground, an area he really did not want to be on at the moment. He really had no choice in the matter. It was do or die. He did! Hang dropped on the ground and ran to the next building across the street. Inside he went closed and bolted the door. Then creeped his way slowly upstairs as to not make the floorboards creak. He peeked out the window. The streets were still empty, and it was quickly getting dark. Soon it would be night. It would be difficult to see. He wished he had something to defend himself with.
He saw a barn not too far away. If only he could get there and find some sort of weapon. A decision was made to get to the barn, at least give it a try. Again, he would travel the roof tops to get as close as he could before setting foot on the ground once more. Pain shot through his arm where he had been bitten. It now looked infected with green like veins that now spread up his arm. He broken out into a cold sweat at the sight of it. He went along the rooftop till he had to climb down again. He made his way into the old barn without incident. He searched around and found a scythe. He removed it from the wall hanging, quickly wiped away the cobwebs. There was a noise. One of the creatures had jumped down from a support beam. It charged toward the boy. He lifted the scythe as the creature leaped through the air. The teen boy used all his might to swing the scythe. The creature was impaled through the chest, but the scythe was ripped from the boy’s hands. They fell upon the ground, the boy bruised and the creature lifeless. There were scraping sounds nearby. A high-pitched call resounded. The boy realized he better get out of there quickly. He grabbed another tool from the wall, a sickle blade, then ran back outside. He could run around town and try to fight them off. He gave his head a shake at such foolishness. These things were crawling around everywhere, he just could not see all of them. He heard them and they called to one another. He had to leave now.
Outside was getting ever so dark, the sun was so close to sinking past the mountain ridgeline. The boy made his way through the streets and came to a sudden stop. There was no way to the gondola. There were creatures there feasting on their kills. He felt so sick to his stomach. He went back the way he came a little way then went down an alley. He came out the end at the edge of town near a stand of trees. He turned back around as one of the creatures landed on the ground in the alley. Without hesitation he swung the sickle blade and hit the monster across the face. It screamed and thrashed about. Calls were answered in return. The boy ran into the woods up the mountain ridge. He ran at a steady pace as not to tire himself so quickly, but that may soon change. He came to the end of the trees to open terrain high above the town. He stopped to rest for a bit to catch his breath. After a few moments, his breathing was calm and regular. Then he heard it, the calls and they were near and coming his way. Pain hit him again as he moved. He clutched his stomach. The pain soon disappeared. He ran toward the break in the mountain. It was a pass, a way to escape this god forsaken hell. He cursed under his breath as he saw dark figures appear from the pass. They bounded in his direction. He stopped and looked behind him and the creatures were in the direction he had just come from, so no going back that way. He gripped the sickle blade tightly. He looked straight ahead toward the town. It was a sheer cliff and he had made a split second decision. They were not going to get him. He ran for the cliff’s edge. The creatures gave chase their howls and cries close behind. Then all went silent. He risked a glance back and saw that they just stood there motionless. He slowed his pace. Screw this he was going to jump. He turned back around to resume running and saw the girl before him. He was stunned. Pain wracked his body. He fell and roared in agony. His skin shifted, fur sprouted thick and dark. He became beast-like.
One of the creatures broke away from the group to attack the newly transformed boy. It leaped upon him, but he was faster and grabbed the creature, threw it down on the ground and his claws shredded. Tore out pieces of innards and blood gushed everywhere. He trotted over to the group and roared, growled a challenge to the others. They cringed before him. He was something different and more frightening. He was larger, more powerful, and faster. He turned away and lopped over to the girl. She stood before him unafraid. He sniffed her and licked her face. He growled as he transformed once again back to his human form. He looked deep into her eyes. She smiled; her arms wrapped around his neck. She straddled his now nude form. She had at last found her Alpha. (12/28/19)
