Keisha-Marie solo investigation
Realm Sire Building, Corinthians Park, Mortchwood Saskatchewan
October 31, 2013
“My name is Keisha-Marie Hollow; I am standing in front of the Realm Sire Building in my hometown of Mortchwood Saskatchewan. I am here to conduct a full night, twelve hour investigation because this once treasured house of the Mortchwood Government is insanely haunted. Construction first started in August 1908 and finished on September 1912. One year after it officially opened, however, it was closed after the Premier at the time, Premier Realm Sire, viciously attacked and killed a female member of the Opposition at the time. Since that day, there have been fourteen documented murders, as well as an arson fire that nearly destroyed the building in 1930. There is also accounts of suicide, and even suspected Devil worshiping, The sun is just about to set, so I’m going to head in and get this night started, it’s going to be a crazy one.” Empath and Psychic Keisha-Marie explained into her small handheld camera, pausing to take a knee while she silently said a quick prayer before stepping inside.

“The first thing I always want to do when I start an investigation is just walk around the entire location and just get a feel for things, let any spirits that are here know I’m here and open myself up spiritually to them.” She explained once she had flipped on her night vision heading up the main staircase and turning left.

“I’m getting a feeling like I should go up to the fifth floor, I don’t know if I should though...okay, here it goes I’m heading up to the very top of the Realm Sire Building. God, please protect me.” She prayed as she timidly climbed higher and higher. “Oh wow...I just got really nauseous and dizzy all of a sudden.... AHHH....DAMMIT” Keisha exclaimed as she grouped around desperately for her camera in the utter darkness.

“I don’t know what the hell’s going on with me right now...it felt like my ears were popping, but then it felt like my ear canals were being stabbed...I need light, I don’t even know if my camera is still working...there’s just so much going on right now.” Keisha said aloud, the sudden onslaught of panic, confusion, and fear causing her to breathe deep.

“Is there any spirits here who would like to communicate with me? I know you’re here, I want to speak with the entity that is making feel so sick right now!” Keisha said as she held out a rectangular recording device that was highly modified to capture spirits voices which were not audible to the human ear.

“Was this where you killed yourself Premier Realm Sire? Why did you kill yourself Sir? Did you jump because you couldn’t take the fact that you killed an innocent woman because she was going to stop your new law? Is that why you had to kill her?” Keisha taunted, pausing for a few seconds between each question before hitting the rewind button on her recorder and playing back what she had just recorded. Keisha jumped when she heard a sinister sounding voice say “kill the slut” after her last question.

“I just caught what’s called a ‘Class “A” EVP’ or Electronic Voice Phenomena that said “kill the slut!!”

“I just heard you, who’s here with me right now? What’s your name? Can you come close to me and talk into this red light in my hand?” Keisha asked, this time taking a softer, more welcoming approach. Again she rewound her recorder’s tape but heard no disembodied voices.

“It feels pretty normal in here now, all the chills I was getting before have left too, so I’m going to go back to the main level and get my base camp set up and check my camera out.” Keisha said into the slightly cracked camera before doing one last sweep of the third floor and slowly making her way down to the main level.

Once she was on the main level, Keisha flicked on a flashlight and used it to inspect her small camera. To her disappointment she discovered that the small crack on the lens had grown and now stretched almost all the way across. The cracked lens meant that she had to use one of her other less powerful cameras which were meant to be placed on tripods and left as static security-type cameras. Once she had made the switch, Keisha was about to begin another update, but her attention turned to a shadow figure she saw move out of the corner of her eye.

“Who’s there? Is that you Katia Jasoslava?” Keisha asked as she quickly made her way to where she had seen the figure.

“By the way, Katia Jasoslava was the name of the lady who was killed by Premier Realm Sire back in 1912.” Keisha explained for the camera.

Keisha, who had been born with very powerful psychic and Empathic abilities, followed the slender apparition into an area she hadn’t noticed on any of her previous tours of the massive building.

“Where are you taking me?” She asked into the sheer darkness. The response she got made her blood run cold when she heard a creepy laugh with her own ears.

“Where the hell am I?” She said again to no one in particular.

Still wanting to pursue the creepy spirit Keisha pushed forward cautiously, but stopped suddenly when she felt a hand that was colder than ice clench onto her left shoulder. The grip was so strong that it made Keisha’s entire arm limp with paralysis.

“I’ve got to get the hell outta here” she thought to herself, biting her bottom limp to prevent herself from contaminating any audio she might have been capturing. As she was waiting for the feeling to return to her arm, Keisha felt herself become overwhelmed with a sudden feeling of immense debilitating panic. The feeling was so powerful that she nearly lost her footing as she turned to pan her camera trying to find her bearings. Just as she was about to leave the small side room she was in, Keisha turned to see herself face-to-face with an apparition of a man’s head. The sight of the badly beaten and bloodied thirty-something-year-old head was more than enough to send Keisha scrambling to find a way out of the massive building. The desperate scramble only took her to the domed courtyard in the middle of the impressive building. Once she found a bench toward the front side of the building Keisha realized just how badly she was shaking with pure terror.

Keisha could feel herself growing more and more overwhelmed as she sat trying to gather her thoughts and calm herself down. Her silent meditation was short lived however, when out of the corner of her eye she saw the unmistakable apparition again. The bottomless pits where the eyes should have been sending Keisha’s already frayed nerves past their breaking point. More frantic than ever to find a way out of the sinister building, Keisha bounded through the maze of corridors and roped off passageways. Finally, she found a second story office with a window facing the park and launched herself through the new painted glass window.

Mortchwood Paranormal Crew Office
Mortchwood Saskatchewan, Canada
October 20th, 2015

“Holy shit...no wonder she was acting so damn weird during our investigation...” Gavin, the audio/visual/and equipment tech for the Mortchwood Paranormal Crew said as he watched the raw footage of his sister-in-law’s most terrifying investigation.

“I can’t imagine what must have gone through her head when she found out she had to go back.” Gavin’s wife and the team’s Medium/Clairvoyant Kyra-Lee added.

“I’m worried about her babe...ever since the three of us investigated the Realm Sire Building, she hasn’t been herself.” Kyra said after a long pause as she curled up closer to her husband.

“Yeah, I’ve noticed that too, I can’t imagine things are easy for her right now...I mean with you being hurt and loosing the baby, she’s probably just getting overloaded and having a hard time closing down her walls.” Gavin offered, though he didn’t totally believe it himself.

“Hopefully” Kyra whispered softly, unable to hide the doubt in her voice.

A short time later Gavin heard someone enters the office and asks if anyone was inside.

“Hello, can I help you?” Gavin asked as he made his way down the spiral staircase that lead up to his and Kyra’s loft, which had been a wedding present from Keisha and Gavin’s mother Irene.

“Are you the ghost hunter that investigated the Realm Sire building a couple months ago?” A tall, creepy man with an eerie voice asked without looking at Gavin.

“Yes, I was one of them along with my wife Kyra and sister-in-law Keisha, why do ya ask?” Gavin replied politely.

“Which-which one of you has the tattoo on their arm?” The man asked.

“Keisha, but I’m sorry to tell you, the case we did at the Realm Sire building was very personal for Keisha, and she’s not ready to give any interviews about it yet.” Gavin replied, feeling himself starting to grow defensive.

“No, no I don’t wanna do no goddamn interview, just...can you give...give her this for-for me?” The man asked as he dropped a greasy looking rag with something wrapped inside on Keisha’s desk before finally raising his head to look at Gavin.

“Do-do you want me to give her a-a message...as well?” Gavin asked suddenly feeling uncomfortable as his eyes met the man’s.

“No, no just...just make sure she...she gets this ok...” The unsettling man replied before turning and leaving in one fluid motion.

Gavin was so taken aback by the presence of the man that he couldn’t help but look to see what is in the rag.

“No, there’s no way...that...how-how’d he get these?” Gavin stuttered, frozen in place at the sight of a pile of handwritten letters.

“Who was that?” Kyra asked as she made her way down the stairs. “Some man who was looking for Keisha...” Gavin replied, as he timidly moved to lock the office door and pull the blinds.
“Gavin babe, what is going on?” Kyra asked, starting to sound nervous as well.

“I don’t know...just a vibe I got from him when I looked him in the eye, like there’s something off with him.” Gavin explained as he made his way back to his desk and flipped on his laptop.

“What did he...?” Kyra began, but stopped mid-sentence when she saw the piles of letters on her sister’s desk.

“Gav-Gavin...we need to find Keisha NOW!”

A few hours later Kyra and Gavin had finally found the groups founder Empath/Psychic Keisha-Marie sitting on a bench near the location of the team’s last investigation.

“Keisha, where the hell have you been, I was so worried about you?” Kyra asked as she met her older sister and pulled her into a tight hug.

“I’m so sorry...I don’t know what happened...I just had to get away for a while...” Keisha admitted beginning to cry slightly.

“We need to get back to the office; we need to show you some...” Kyra began, but cut herself off when she saw Gavin starting to walk back the way they had come.

“Gavin, where are you going?” She called after her husband.

“Just hang on a second, I’ll be right back.” Gavin called back before turning and continuing on at a light jog.

“Excuse me sir, you’re the man that came by the MPC office earlier today right?” Gavin asked shyly.

“Huh?” the man asked looking clueless.

“Sorry, I’m Gavin Stone, the audio/visual/and equipment tech for the Mortchwood Paranormal Crew, I believe you came in and dropped something off for one of my colleagues.” Gavin explained with a chuckle.

“Yeah, I done did that.” The man replied, his eyes just as unsettling as the first time.

“I-I was just...I was just wondering how you...how you got a hold of those-of those letters you-you dropped off?” Gavin stumbled, the intensity and emptiness in the man’s eyes making Gavin almost speechless.

“WHAT DID YOU DO WITH THEM?” The man spat, suddenly becoming aggressive.

“I-I didn’t do anything with them Sir, they’re locked in my desk back at the office, my colleague’s been dealing with some personal stuff this last little bit, so I haven’t seen her, but she knows now and says she’ll be in today to get them.” Gavin replied, surprised by how calm he was able to stay. “

Don’t ya try and lie to me boy...you make sure she gets ‘em damn letters today ya’ear me...TODAY” The man spat before angrily turning and walking toward the two on-looking sisters.

“Ya ‘isten to me little bitch...you get ‘em letters and you burn ‘em...ya’ear me...you fuckin’ burn those sum bitches okay? You burn ‘em...BURN ‘EM” He spat to Keisha, who was standing a couple feet behind her sister, an Olympic Greco-Roman wrestler, who had won a silver medal at the Beijing Games.

Keisha wasn’t sure if he had noticed Kyra, who had shifted her bodyweight onto the balls of her feet ready to explode and manhandle the much bigger man to the ground or not, but was thankful when he turned and stormed off in a neutral direction.

“Who the hell was that?” Keisha asked as Gavin rejoined the girls.

“I have no idea, but he came by the office earlier, that’s actually why we wanted to find you.” Gavin explained as the three made their way back to Gavin’s car.

When Gavin and the girls got back to their office Gavin retrieved the stack of letters from his desk and handed them to Keisha, who took them and sat down at her desk before opening any.
“DAMMIT” Keisha exclaimed a short while later.

“What, what is it?” Kyra asked who was lying down on a small couch.

“Remember when we did our investigation of the Realm Sire Building?” Keisha began hesitantly.

“Yes...what about it?” Gavin asked before Kyra could.

“We figured out that Premier Realm Sire had written a bunch of letters before he committed suicide after the killed that Opposition member?”

“Katie something wasn’t it?” Kyra answered, giving her husband a cheeky wink.

“Katia Jasoslava” Keisha corrected before continuing on.

“We had thought that the letters where what was keeping her and Premier Realm Sire trapped, but we couldn’t find them because we thought they were buried in the walls down in the basement... These are the letters that Premier Sire wrote.” Keisha explained.

“Hang on, there’s something else” Gavin said as he noticed a thin piece of folded up paper stuck to the bottom of the last letter.

“What does it say?” Kyra asked curiously as she got up and moved to her desk beside Keisha.

“The young lives filled with fun and folly,
Crazy days and wild nights
Not a care in sight.
The futures of nameless angels seemed so limitless,
Like the Prairie horizon...
Flowing and endless.
Their names will never be forgotten
Though their honor died in vain.
The legacy of their pain shall forever
Remain lost in translation.
Bound by the enslaved to reign for all eternity
Deprived of rightful dignity.
Tied to letters,
The confessions of a murderer...
Too many months,
Too many years,
Too many decades
Could not conceal the tragedy!

The desecration of history
Now casts a shadowy stain that
Reaches through the years
And plagues
A family’s devotion.
Their love torn and frayed, weakened and beaten
By spellbinding possession…
Awakening to a vicious nightmare that seems
Deceivingly flirtatious.
Nothing but the sweet sorrow of
Memory Lane
Will lead to cleaning this inescapable catalyst.

One second,
A single breath
In the blink of an eye
That failed to reopen.
Manifestation,
Infestation,
A location ruled by possession.
Desecration is what brought this
Hell
To fruition,
The ties that bind truth to lies is the only salvation.”

Gavin could feel himself growing more and more nervous as he read the chilling poem out loud.

“Da-Does it say who-who wrote it?” Keisha asked timidly, not sure she really wanted to know the answer.

“No, but it looks new, like someone just wrote it within the last couple days or so.” Gavin replied also slightly shaken.

“Honey, what was the name of that guy who dropped off the letters?” Kyra asked. “You mean that psycho from the park?” Keisha added.

“He never actually gave me his name, just told me to make sure that Keisha got them.” Gavin replied honestly.

“Hang on this is just too weird...first some creepy dude comes in and drops off these letters, letters that are supposed to be buried behind a wall in the Realm Sire Building. Then, he nearly rips Keisha’s head off at the park about those same letters, and then we find that poem which I’m willing to bet he wrote...” Kyra’s voice trailed off as she suddenly remembered where she had seen the creepy man before.

“Oh my God...guys look at this.” She exclaimed a few moments later.

“Wha...no way, how’d we miss that?” Kyra’s older sister gasped as she stared at the eerie face of Mortchwood’s first ever Premier.

“We need to try and find his relatives; I think they could be in danger.” Kyra said softly.

A few weeks later Gavin, Kyra, and Keisha were enjoying a night out when a middle-aged woman came staggering toward them.

“Are you the ghost hunters from the news I keep hearing about?” The woman asked, collapsing in the seat beside Kyra, causing Kyra’s drink to spill down her shirt.

“I think my house is being haunted, so how much do you ghost busters cost to come out?” The woman who was clearly drunk slurred.

“I don’t doubt that you are experiencing some kind of activity, however if you are serious about wanting our help, please take my card and feel free to call or come by our office when you’re sober, we would be more than happy to talk to you. As for tonight though, I suggest you continue to enjoy your night elsewhere, thank you.” Keisha explained professionally, but sternly as the woman staggered away angrily.

A couple minutes later Gavin spotted Kyra, who was now wearing only her tight-fitting undershirt walking toward the team’s table.

“You okay?” Gavin asked as he wrapped his Bon Jovi leather jacket over his wife’s shoulders.

“Yeah, I’m fine, but can we please call it a night, I can’t afford to lose any more clothes.” Kyra replied as she cuddled tight against Gavin’s outstretched arm.

A few days later Keisha was alone in the office when she heard someone walk in.

“Can I help you?” The Empath and Psychic asked warmly.

“Yes, I don’t know if you remember me from a few nights ago at the club...I-I had asked what it would cost to have you and your team come out to my house?” The woman, who introduced herself as Dia Taciturn asked shyly.

“Yes, hello Mrs. Taciturn, how can I help you?”

“I-I don’t really know-know how to say this...but...you did an investigation at the Realm Sire Building a little while ago, yes?”

“Yes, that’s right, along with my sister and brother-in-law, what about it?”

“I-I think you all need to come to my house....” Dia explained, choking on tears.

“I believe you, please, sit down and tell me everything that’s been happening from the start, take as much time as you need.” Keisha replied softly, gesturing toward a couch.

The two women talked for nearly an hour while Dia recounted the otherworldly occurrences that were happening at her house.

“I will have to talk to the rest of my team, but from what I’ve heard it sounds like you really need our help.” Keisha said as she shook Dia’s hand and walked her out to her car, where she waited for Dia to pull away before texting her sister and Gavin to meet her at the office.

When Gavin and Kyra arrived back at the team’s office, they were greeted at the door by Keisha.

“We got an investigation tonight, guys its bad, really bad...come inside.” Keisha exclaimed earnestly.

Later that evening Gavin, Kyra and Keisha were pulling into Dia’s driveway on the south end of Mortchwood.

“Hello again Mrs. Taciturn, this is my sister Medium/Clairvoyant Kyra-Lee and her husband, our audio/visual/and equipment tech Gavin Stone.” Keisha said as she introduced the rest of the Mortchwood Paranormal Crew.

“Do you have someplace you and your daughter, Sapphire can stay tonight?” Kyra asked as she shook Dia’s and Sapphire’s hands.

“Yes, I’ve made arrangements, but I must warn you, my daughter’s room, downstairs...ever since these things started...we’ve never been able to use lights in there...even brand new bulbs just flicker and burn out...it’s-it’s like a black hole or something....There’s also something else...my birth name is Dia Sire.” Dia explained her voice slightly shaky.

“Are-are you related to the first Premier of Mortchwood Premier Realm Sire?” Keisha asked completely shocked.

“Yes, he was my great grandmother’s mother was his wife, I’m not proud of it...but I thought you should know...” Dia admitted weakly as the three investigators exchanged looks of utter disbelief.

“Oh my God...are...are you serious?” Gavin asked, still trying to work through what just happened.

“Well, I guess we know why she’s been having so much activity now...not only did our investigation at the Realm Sire Building piss off whatever had possessed Premier Sire to kill Katia, it opened up a doorway for that same entity to terrorize Dia and Sapphire.” Kyra exclaimed, trying to calculate just how dangerous the investigation would be.

“We better get started, huddle up.” Keisha said as the three formed a circle and said a quick prayer before turning so their backs were to the house.

“This is the Mortchwood Paranormal Crew in beautiful Mortchwood, Saskatchewan, our home town. We are here to investigate a private residence where the owner says her and her daughter are being tormented by a malicious, dark entity. This entity, we’re told has even attempted and succeeded at possessing the teenage daughter Sapphire. We were also told that this entity is believed to be that of the first Premier of Mortchwood, Premier Realm Sire. I am here as always with my sister Medium/Clairvoyant Kyra-Lee and her husband Gavin Stone, our Audio/Visual/Equipment Tech. As you can see, it’s not quite dark out yet, but we have a lot of work to do, so we’re going to start this investigation a little earlier than usual. With that said...Gavin, Kyra, are you two ready?” Keisha said into a small handheld video camera that Gavin had mounted on a tripod for the introduction.

“I kind of want to start in Sapphire’s room.” Kyra said quietly as the three used the remaining sunlight to take a quick tour of the house.

“Yeah, that makes sense, from what Dia told me that’s where all the activity is centered, plus there’s less light to contaminate any visual evidence we get.” Keisha agreed as the team began making their way down the steep staircase that led into the unfinished basement.

“My name is Kyra-Lee Stone, is there any spirits here that want to communicate with me or someone in my team? We’re not here to hurt you, can you give us a sign that you’re down here with us?” Kyra asked her voice gentle and welcoming as she carefully placed a super sensitive digital recorder on the floor in front of her, hoping to catch the voice of a spirit.

“What is your name?” Kyra asked again after a moment or two of silence.

“Hey, honey, where are you standing right now?” Kyra asked, trying to stay as still as possible so she wouldn’t contaminate the audio recording.

“I’m behind you and to the left shooting into the daughter’s room.” Gavin replied, as he quickly snapped off several infrared still photos.

“I’m in the empty room beside Sapphire’s, what did you see Sis?” Keisha explained, curious to what her sister was responding to.

“I thought I saw like a black shadowy mass pass by the outside of Sapphire’s room and go back toward the stairs.” Kyra replied as she and Keisha gathered around Gavin’s static night vision camera.

“Wait rewind that just a little bit, I think you might have got it on video.” Kyra suggested.

“Go back and pause it right when it passes in front of Sapphire’s room.” Keisha said.

“What the...”

“Oh my God...” Gavin and Keisha gasped as Gavin zoomed in on the demonic looking entity.

“OH MY GOD” Gavin screamed as he looked up to see himself standing face-to-face with the sinister looking apparition before being thrown backwards several feet.

“Gavin, honey, are you alright?” Kyra asked as she rushed to help her husband back to his feet.

“Guys the temperature just dropped down huge...” Keisha began to say but was stopped abruptly as she was overcome by a gag-inducing putrid smell of rotting, sulphuric flesh.

“Who’s here with us right now, I know you’re here, why are you tormenting this family?” Keisha asked harshly as she lifted her hand off the top of the small speaker of the Spirit Box, which sweeps through radio frequencies at such a rapid pace that it rarely picks up any actual programming interference.

“Demon” the voice snarled less than a second later.

“Did you attack me at the Realm Sire Building a few months ago?” Keisha asked again, and again a violent sounding voice responded “yes.”

“Are you the spirit of Premier Realm Sire?” Gavin asked finally able to find his feet.

“He’s here” the voice responded, becoming more and more malevolent.

“Why are you attacking the people that live here?” Kyra asked, as she began placing small ultra sensitive REM-Pods around the basement to detect changes in the static and electromagnetic fields.

“If you’re a demon, make all the lights on the floor light up!” Keisha ordered, as all six lights on the first REM-Pod lit up, nearly blinding the three investigators with intense LED red, white, blue and green lights.

“OUCH WHAT THE...” Kyra screamed in pain as she felt three long, razor sharp nails grind across her lower back.

“Inhospitable delicacies marred with impregnated majesty
Lay golden celibate fields Prairie
Fallen is the enemy failing to parry
A favorite Son-of-Nation she did marry
But a flag he did not carry...
He a martyr did not quarry.

Pungent the words of pundit end without –
Eternally abundant
Pertaining to low moral stature, though
With beauty as design of floral
Jaded conscience scared the enemy that fit not the profile
Slain love how shall it remain?

Coquette, for fun out to get men of dreams
She did not set,
Through to grasps of love she did forfeit
Quick with wit of top merit hath split debt,
Yet not to omit the rewound cassette
Of life’s roulette per every dragged
Cigarette her lips commit.

Sustainable indecencies mirrored virgin
Slaveries stand burnt slut gullies.
Raised is the hommie succeeding to folly,
A battered daughter of hypocrisy
He made divorcee,
A flag she did terry,
He, a coward she did marry.”
Kyra hissed, her voice matching the one that had been talking on the Spirit Box.

A few seconds after Kyra had finished reciting the confusing, sinister poem she felt whatever had possessed her relinquish its grip on her as she collapsed to the ground.

“C’mon guys we need to re-group” Keisha instructed, feeling like a light bulb just lit up in her mind.

“What do you mean?” Gavin asked, as the three began ascending the staircase back to the main level before heading outside.

“That poem that Kyra said when she was possessed...” Keisha began to explain.

“Again, what do you mean?” Gavin asked again not following.

“The poem I’d be willing to bet anything that was about Katia Jasoslava, the woman who was killed by Premier Realm Sire...Remember the letters that creepy guy dropped off for me at the office?” Keisha asked.

“Yes, what about them” Kyra asked her older sister.

“I didn’t get a chance to read all of them, but it sounded like Katia was married to the Premier, but they had gotten, or were getting a divorce.”

“You’re right that does make sense, so that’s why he killed her?” Gavin asked suspiciously. “

No, I still think Premier Realm Sire was possessed when he killed her, but think about it...if Katia was fighting against a bill, something that would have had a direct impact on her because of her past, and her and the man she was married to were fighting....that’s a ton of unfinished business for both of them.” Keisha explained.

“This was supposedly Premier Realm Sire’s home, and if you’re right sis, Katia would have lived here to at one point.” Kyra added, feeling like herself once again.

“I wonder if Katia was pregnant when she was killed...” Kyra began, somewhat absent mindedly.

“Why’s that?” Gavin asked.

“When I was talking with Sapphire when we first got here, she told me she’s five weeks pregnant, so if Katia was expecting as well then it would explain why there’s so much activity in Sapphire’s room.” Kyra continued.

“Okay, this is what we’re going to do...Kyra I want you to go back down to the daughter’s room by yourself, see if you can communicate with Katia mother-to-mother. Gavin, I want you to go around on the top level and set up the static night vision cameras where we have them mapped out, once you’re done that just meet up with me. I’ll be watching Kyra from our nerve centre in the kitchen.” Keisha instructed, taking charge as the lead investigator as the three made their way back into the now pitch black house.

“You sure you want to do this honey?” Gavin asked, bumping fists and giving his wife a quick kiss.

“Yeah, I’m sure” Kyra said double checking she had all the equipment she wanted before heading off for her solo investigation.

“This is Kyra-Lee Stone; I’m in the basement of a private residence in Mortchwood Saskatchewan. I’m doing a solo investigation and I’m trying to connect with the spirit of Katia Jasoslava, Katia are you here with me right now? Can you give me a sign of your presence?” Kyra began as she sat on the edge of Sapphire’s bed.

“Katia, I’m not here to hurt you I promise, I just want to talk to you, can you tell me if you were pregnant when you were killed over a century ago?” Just then Kyra heard a soft knock on the wall behind her.

“Hi Katia...you don’t have to hide, I can see you, can you come closer to me?” A couple seconds later Kyra felt a cold, but loving presence touch her stomach.

“Yes, that’s right, I lost my baby too.” Kyra said softly as her mind’s eye saw a beautiful young woman smile as she knelt in front of her and place a hand on her stomach.

“I-I know it’s scary, but-but you have to pass on, it’s safe for you now I promise...I’ll make sure your story, and the story of your baby is told.” Kyra said warmly as she felt the atmosphere lighten and somehow become brighter.

“Amazing job sis, she’s moved on, you did it, come back to nerve centre awesome job.” Keisha’s voice came over Kyra’s small radio.

“Thanks Keisha” Kyra replied with a big smile on her face as she carefully made her way up the staircase.

“Well that’s one down, now for the hard part.” Gavin said giving his wife a big hug.

“Yeah that demon that scratched me earlier, how are they looking by the way?” Kyra asked pulling up the bottom part of her shirt.

“They’re nasty, but they don’t look like they need stitches or anything, do they hurt?” Keisha asked as Gavin switched off the night vision filter on his camcorder so Keisha could inspect her sister’s wounds.

“No not too...WHAT WAS THAT?” Kyra began, but was cut short by a loud slamming noise that seemed to echo off the walls and shake the floor she was standing on.

“That came from upstairs.” Gavin said, quickly trying to switch back to night vision.

When the team made it to the third level, they discovered one of the static cameras that Gavin had just set up had been thrown across the hall and smashed against a wall.

“Premier Realm Sire was that you that smashed our camera? Did you not like that I helped Katia pass on, that you can no longer torment her?” Kyra asked, her voice rose to challenge the darker entity.

“Did you know she was pregnant, is that why you killed her, you knew you were the baby’s father?” Just as Kyra finished provoking the spirit, she felt something aggressively shove her from behind.

“Is that all you can do, attack me from behind?” She challenged again.

“Why don’t you show yourself to me, let me see you coward!” She continued walking to the center of the upstairs master bedroom.

“Keisha, look at me, what’s wrong with you?” Gavin asked as he focused his full spectrum camera on his sister-in-law’s contorted face.

“Who’s inside Keisha right now?” Gavin asked, slightly concerned as Kyra held out a Spirit Box towards her sister.

“She’s mine now” a voice snarled that was sinister enough to make the hair on the back of Gavin’s and Kyra’s neck stand on end.

“What’s your name unholy spirit?” Kyra barked, continuing to challenge the dark entity. The question was met with an evil sounding laugh and an even more sinister sounding hissing noise.
“Are you the entity that forced Premier Sire to kill Katia Jasoslava over a hundred years ago?” Gavin asked, becoming more protective of the two girls.

“The fucking slut had to die!” The voice snarled back through the small speaker.

“You know what I think...? I think you were the one that made me lose my baby that’s what I think!” Kyra exclaimed her voice cracking slightly as she fought to hold tears out of her eyes.

“Honey, what are you...?” Gavin began, shocked at his wife’s sudden change of tact.

“No, Gavin, shut up, let me do this!” Kyra snapped back, blindly waving her arm in Gavin’s general direction.

“Yeah, that’s exactly what I think! I think the reason you possessed Premier Sire and made him kill Katia was because you were jealous, jealous of the fact that you will never know that kind of pure happiness!” Kyra exclaimed as her emotions got the best of her and cracked her voice.

“I think you had to kill my baby because that is the only way you will ever feel significant! You know what else I think? I think that Katia’s baby scared you; I think you knew that if Katia had her baby it would have sent you back to whatever dark, lonely, putrid hole you came from! I think THAT’S why you made me miscarry, because my baby would have destroyed you!” Kyra declared, as visions of her miscarriage and Katia’s death raced in front of her eyes like a movie that was stuck on fast forward.

“You’re not a demon or some sinister entity, you’re nothing, you hear me...you’re NOTHING...NOTHING BUT A MURDERER...A COLD-BLOODED WORTHLESS MURDERER” Kyra screamed, her body shaking with a barrage of intense emotions as tears fell freely from her fiery eyes. Gavin could only stand in awe as his wife and sister-in-law gasped in unison and collapsed to the ground next to each other.

“It’s me sis, you did it, it’s gone now, I’m back, you did it.” Keisha said breathlessly as she pulled her younger sister into a tight embrace and didn’t let go until she heard Gavin’s voice.

“Honey, holy shit, I’m so sorry I had no idea you felt like that, oh my God, I’m so sorry, I love you so much. Keisha, are you alright? That was so crazy, both of you!” Gavin stumbled, not caring if what he was saying made any sense as the three sat embracing each other.

“We need to start breaking our stuff down, it’s already getting lighter out, besides there’s nothing left for us to do here...Mortchwood Paranormal Crew will always be that....a crew, but this investigation without a doubt belonged to Kyra, amazing job sis.” Keisha explained giving her sister another hug as the three quickly started gathering up their equipment.

“It feels like a whole new house now, it even looks brighter in Sapphire’s room.” Kyra said as she lugged the last of the team’s rolling suitcases into the team’s van and slid the side door shut.

“I was thinking, maybe later we can go down to the hospital and give a little donation on behalf of Katia and her baby or something.” Gavin suggested as the trio arrived back at their office.

“Yeah that sounds like a really nice idea honey, I like that.” Kyra replied with a smile.

“I’ll see if I can set something up so you can do it publicly, it would give us a chance to finally tell the truth about Premier Sire and Katia’s story.” Keisha offered.

A few hours later Gavin and Kyra stood at a podium in the main lobby of the Mortchwood General Hospital next to the Chief of Services Danza Vetro.

“Hello everyone, thanks for coming out on such short notice, I know things here are super busy so I’ll keep this short. My name is Keisha-Marie Hollow, I am the lead investigator and founder of the Mortchwood Paranormal Crew and this is my sister Clairvoyant and Medium Kyra-Lee and her husband, our audio/visual/and equipment tech Gavin Stone.” Keisha began, trying not to sound as nervous and uncomfortable as she felt.

“Are there any questions?” Gavin asked after Kyra had explained why the team was making the donation.

“Yes, you in the back” Gavin said, gesturing to a young male reporter.

“You said you had new information regarding the murder of Katia Jasoslava in 1908, can you elaborate on those details?” The man asked.

“No, sorry not at this time, what we can say is that all the details we were made aware of were obtained through our extensive investigation of a private residence here in Mortchwood.” Kyra answered giving the reporter an apologetic smile.

“I’m sorry, but we have to wrap this up, I’m really sorry, but that’s the nature of a Hospital.” Danza interjected sternly.

Two weeks later Kyra was sitting on the edge of her and Gavin’s bed sweating and out of breath.

“What the hell happened?” Gavin asked, handing his shaking wife an old sports bottle filled with water.

“Gavin...there-there’s something I-I need to-I need to tell you but-but I-I don’t-I don’t think I can act-actually say it...” Kyra stuttered, fighting hard to get herself back under control as she pointed to a file on the couple’s kitchen island.

“Oh-open it” Kyra urged gently avoiding her husband’s worried look. Gavin slowly opened the file and saw a handwritten letter that Kyra had written.

“As I walk through these sun-drenched streets,
I can think only of what lurks in the shadows.
My mind wonders not of issues illuminated
By the light of day,
But rather what mysteries the
Witching Hour
Might uncover.

The place I see in my dreams,
I swore I would never step foot in again,
But yet stepping foot inside is all I want to do.

I care not for my friends or family,
And what once meant the most to me,
Is now forgotten and irrelevant.
I am addicted to this palace of horrors;
I am obsessed with the evil around every door.

The attacks I have had and
The screams I have shed
Brought unto myself
For their territory I did invade,
But their territory I cannot avoid.

What must I do to relinquish their grip?
What can be done to cleanse me of this wretched partnership?
My mind wonders what mysteries the
Witching Hour
Might uncover.

I am addicted to this palace of horrors,
I am obsessed with the evil around every door,
I am obsessed with evil... can you save me?”
