He flew in the night sky and enjoyed the wind currents so high. He spiralled and dove, spread his wings like a parachute. Then gave a single strong flap of his wings and rose higher. He made sweeping patterns and circled around. He landed on a mountain peak, stretched his wings, then folded them close to his body. Up here was the cold crisp air, snow-capped these peaks year-round. The glaciers grow larger every year and has seen them cause many an avalanche. Even seen many raging storms out in this very area. The displays of lightning were always a sight to see. So many forms would show themselves as they streaked across the sky. Thunder was very loud at these heights. To peer into clouds from above was quite interesting and lightning took on a different shape and colour. He enjoyed this landscape and climate, it brought peace to his spirit. He was a purple dragon, huge for his kind, out of the first clutch, he hatched first and was favoured by his mother. His name ~ Alajorne Starborne, first born of the dragon mistress of the purple clans, Astarryia.
He continued to look around and saw nothing of interest. He let out a great big yawn and spread his wings ready to fly again. As he unfolded his wings, he let the winds take him away. He sped through the currants until he reached his destination. He went into a crevice in a mountain. He was home in the comfort of this safe, haven. The cavern was enormous, he could fly a good distance, but he would go to his favourite perch before he went to look for his mother. He was about to land when he noticed a figure upon the outcrop dais that led over the chasm. His interest was more than peeked and he went to investigate. He landed before the figure. He observed the woman, humanlike in appearance. She was definitely… not human at all; this he could sense. She was pale of skin like ash. She displayed herself nude, and a fine sculpted form she was indeed. Her breasts were large and full, nipples black as onyx stone. Her arms and legs fine toned. Her torso muscled and flawless. Her hair was the very breath of darkness just as her eyes were dark voids. He could feel immense power emanate from her. Her power was on a massive scale that even he could not imagine. He had to be incredibly careful with this one. There was something vaguely familiar about this creature even though he had never seen nor met her before. But he had heard something he was sure of it. He sensed a great danger and must be on his guard.
“Greetings, Great One,” the endarkened woman said. Her voice seemed off, then he realized she was masking her true voice. He gave no indication he knew this. He just stared at her for a moment.
“You are obviously something more than you appear. Why are you here in the purple dragon clan’s, domain?” Alajorne asked.
“I have come to ask for your help,” she continued. “The world of Visyon is in strife and needs our aid. There are beings there called deity, a race of gods and goddesses that are oppressive to the so-called lesser races. I wish to free them of their worshiping bonds,” she said with heavy emotion. Alajorne eyed her carefully. Even though he admired her resolve and the cause she claimed to represent, and her sincerity… but something gnawed at him and was unable to place its cause for the life of him. She spoke truth and he could sense an underlayer of lies there, he was sure of it.
“How would you do this? Go about your plans for such an endeavour?” he asked thoughtfully.
“I would show them that they do not need these deity beings, that they are their own people who can reach their own great heights. That even though I, myself am a deity like them, I do not need worship. I only wish to guide them to a greater path like a parent would a child. I would do this through the means of knowledge and war would be used only as a last resort. There are those already the cause of wars and the races are suffering. I only wish to aid them and put a stop to the madness,” she had a pleading tone to her words.
Interesting tactics and brilliant in fact, how she sounded noble and honourable. Have the races see for themselves that guidance from a supreme being is not needed. If… wait, they would not be needed any longer, they would have no power upon… destroyed… they would all perish! She was the dark goddess! This is a scheme! Too late he realized. Her tendrils of darkness had already attacked and impaled him and dug deep. He roared and spread his wings to lift himself up, but they too became impaled and wrapped tight back to his body rendered useless. He breathed purple flames which dispersed some of the dark tendrils. He was about to send more flames when tendrils wrapped around his snout. He was not out yet he still had his dragon magic. His eyes widened as he watched the Dark Goddess transform. It was pure primal evil infinite. She encased him like a shroud and consumed his dark essence. Then ripped open his chest. He struggled in vain and yet still fought with every fibre of his being. She reached in and gripped his heart. Her void eyes looked the dragon in his purple orbs. He felt her pull into her Abyss. She was depthless evil, forever dark. He knew then, he was doomed. This creature was the very embodiment of evil.
“I will give your mother your regards dear sweet boy. I have such plans for your soul!” She ripped out his heart and laughed malevolently. His lifeforce drained away into the dragon’s purple heart all that was left of him. The Dark Goddess disappeared in a wisp of a dark cloud. All that remained was the dead husk of Alajorne’s body and a single ebony dragon scale. (07/04/19)
