She hid in the mass garden filled with trees, shrubs, and statues. She was ragged and breathless. She had to find a way out of this nightmare she was now living, or she would share the same fate as her friends did. This was not possible, how could a creature like that exist?
She was frightened and held a butcher knife in her shaking hands, stained with the creature’s blood. Her and her friends managed to lash back at it when it appeared and attacked. She managed to escape, but the others were not so lucky.
She heard horrible noises, the crumbling and the horse screams that were abruptly cut off. The wet gurgling sounds terrified her the most that she had put her hands over her ears. It was not good enough to blot them out.
All she knew now was she had to keep moving to get out of here or it would find her. Suddenly she caught her breath, afraid to even breathe or surly it would be upon her last. A hissing, scraping sound could be heard near by and it was getting closer. She shook violently and uncontrollably. She must not look at the monster or it would be the end of her. She had to flee from this place, now! A chittering sound came from the creature like it knew she was close by and was trying to communicate it to her. She just knew it would not stop until it found her. She could count on that. She peeked over the hedge she hid behind and saw it. Its back was to her, and it was moving away in another direction. She ducked back down. She curled up with her fists to her face, tears stained her cheeks. This was a good thing it bought her time to escape did it not!
“Fuck it,” she whispered and made a run for it keeping low, being as quiet as she possibly could. She moved from cover to cover, trying to stay in the darkest of shadows to stay hidden. She went from hedge to statue to tree. She was getting closer the woods. Maybe she could escape through them to the road beyond. She had to try. She crept forward cautiously. Then she heard it. The slithering chittering sounds. Her heart dropped. The creature was right behind her. She bolted for the woods, running as fast as she could. She glanced behind her and did not see the creature at all. She turned back forward and stopped. The hideous creature was before her its snake slithering hair moved about alive. It was female, her scaly breasts jiggled about her form. It was barely human, mostly the body of a serpent. She hissed her eyes glowed, but it was already too late. The girl screamed as the snake like creature wrapped itself around her and bite her in the neck. She felt its venom flow into her as her blood was being drained. She was turning to stone like the others. The Gorgon Medusa type creature squeezed tightly and crushed the girl’s body to crumbling bits. (03/01/19)
