The meaning of life

There is a man full of miseries who walks around while looking down and counting them. He drinks alcohol and smokes cigarettes while asking himself, "Why"? This man knows the meaning of life that others try to find. He has told them countless times what they wanted to know. He fought for other's souls but always lost. He pursued justice for himself and consumed all the appeals. He knows the truth and gives up. Now, he keeps quiet and looks down, thinking he never won and never will.

One day, he wakes up and decides he won't talk anymore. He walks and passes by a father who is hitting his 3-year-old son. The man looks at them, doesn't say anything, and keeps walking. He thinks, "The boy will grow up, and he will have nightmares and cry. He won't be able to get out of bed and will phone asking for help. "Do you have a plan?" Silence. "Do you have a plan?. They will ask. "Without a plan, there is no help".

The man goes to work, and his colleagues whisper and laugh. He looks at them, and a woman says, "What are you looking at?" The man doesn't say anything, looks down and walks away. On his mobile, he looks for the profile picture of his colleague and reads underneath the picture, "Be Kind." The man thinks, "I followed the procedures. I reported my feelings of humiliation, and they said it was my fault. I got fired."

The man goes to the doctor and is asked, "What is your name again? Oh, here. How does the antidepressant make you feel? I told you you need to go for fresh air." The man stands up, doesn't say anything, and walks away.

He goes to a park and sits down on a bench. He overhears a couple talking. "I had to lie," a woman says. "They were bullying her all the time. But what could I do? Let ten workers resign at the same time?" "You did the right thing," the other woman replied. The man looks at them, doesn't say anything, and walks away.

He goes to a supermarket and sees a man begging at the front door. He kneels down and drops some coins. A woman stops him and asks, "What are you doing? He will buy alcohol with your money." The man looks at her, doesn't say anything, and enters the supermarket. He buys alcohol and goes home. He drinks two bottles and makes a plan, but before he writes a note. He puts the note inside an envelope and writes "The meaning of life" on it.

The man dies, and two weeks later, neighbours complain of a smell. People knock on the door and see the dead man. One takes the envelope and reads "The meaning of life". He opens the envelope and reads the note. "The meaning of life is shown in the consciousness of those who can't sleep at night".
