[In altre parole:

A Theory

Premise: this theory isn't meant to exclude nor connect in any way to "god" - however he is meant. Although, actually, in the end "God" is this theory.
Another premise: given that we all are a set of living matter which has awareness of existing and has the ability to remember events that have happened (excluding "spiritual" connections, etc.), all that we "take for real-real" is something that has hit some of our senses ("sensors") and has been cataloged by our brain (= set of cells which exchange electrical impulses and information).

So, everything that exists may not be exactly as we see it. It may not exist at all in the "material" sense (Matrix), it could be very different from what "it seems" to us, it could also change every day or every second - after all, who can swear that yesterday our world, our city, our house ... were they just like we remember them? Memories are stored in organic matter ... easily modifiable (provided you have the appropriate technologies).

But let's go further.
Sometimes we talk about "powers of the mind", telekinesis or foresight, self-improvement or awareness. This implies that there are particles, or forces, or dimensions... that we don't know yet.
But there is a simpler and more "economical" solution, to quote Occam.

Let's imagine that my mind creates all of reality. That is, there is nothing but my mind, obviously meant as something more than the "brain".
There is no matter, there are no other people, there is no space, universe or time.
I am "everything". And what I think becomes, for me, real. That is, I live it, it happens.
If I think a job will be fine, then it will be like that. If I think an exam will go wrong, it will probably go wrong. If I think about politicians... or Good and Evil...
But not because "we are starting forces which interact with the teacher or the customer", or because my behavior provokes events: simply because "the design of tomorrow" is all in here, in my mind, and then it builds the reality of tomorrow one step after the other...
It's easier.
If I think I'll be sick, or I'll grow old. Or that I can travel 100Km on a bike without training. Or even that I will leave home and I will have a car accident.
And if I dreamed something that then happens, or I live in a state of anxiety, well it's not that "future is communicating to me": simply, my mind has made a deviation from the "reality" previously foreseen and now is creating that piece of the future.

And no, you don't exist as well - that is, what I see and the people I interact with by voice or keyboard are just an expression of my thinking.
And it is not a theory that can be applied to all people - at least as we understand them now. I am "everything" that I think I know. But, probably, there are other "everything" that have their own reality, perhaps with times, colors, smells and spaces that are completely different and "unimaginable" from me. But it's not 6 billion, or more, or less. It is not easy to imagine.

I know it sounds like "an apotheosis of egocentricity" but that's not it.
Rather, it is "God who plays reality". For the small part that he "decided to perceive" in this "simulation" (here we return back to the Matrix, but in a slightly different way) he chose to have some limited knowledge of time, space, physics, chemistry, etc.
I am, or rather I am "playing" that God. Maybe, in dimensions that I can not conceive now, other simulations are running, and other "beings" (I would exclude the word "people", but also "aliens": they could be black and blue cubes living in a 6-dimensional space and interacting with plasma fluids, to say) are perceiving other experiences. Is it the same "god" that is playing with it? Or is there more than one?
Well, these are questions, how to say, "further"

[In other words:

nothing of what we see exists, "in objective terms": the world, the universe is only yours.
And obviously each of us, if we can understand what "us" means in this context, has his/her own "universe": in short, you see me answering you but I can be a creation of your mind because you know or you've been told or anyway imagine that there are other human beings, that you exist on this planet, that they have similar interests to yours, that there is a thing called computer.
Or rather: for me who am answering, all of this applies to *me*. You don't necessarily exist, and everything else. Ever since I was born, my mind or *something* has created a reality usable by "me". With my thoughts, I decide not only where I go, but also what exists, and how it behaves.
For another "being" (in fact, whatever it means, at this point) the reality could be a series of green spheres that blink and communicate with ultrasound and feed on blue cubes, in a galaxy where there are 3 planets, but flat.

At the quantum level, the thing has taken a more scientific and explicable form: Quantum States are not accurately ascertainable (beware, I am not a big expert into this!), and it seems that there can be infinite universes.
"Who" or "What" makes us move from one to another, may be randomness, some physical law or other.
The idea is that it can be, in fact, "something else" - something that we can call "mind" or "soul".

(for those who know it: the Star Trek TNG episode ("Remember me") puts on stage this theory perfectly, with an initial cue and a bit of science fiction :) )

Time actually becomes a sub-group of this 5th or 6th dimension, in fact, according to the theory.
