His life hadn’t been easy. People had betrayed him. He moved to South Florida after an argument. He’d found his happiness after moving there.

Shiloh had been betrayed in some way far too much. By people he’d thought were friends. People who’d let their actions speak for them. People who’d rather do a White Knight routine and not take accountability for their own actions. People who didn’t tell the entire story. People who’d be shunned after the truth came out. It didn’t change the fact the damage was already done. It’d left Shiloh with severe trust issues. Issues he’d begun working through. He lost all interest in making new friends as time went on. His depression worsened over time stemming from his current living situation. He’d kept to himself far more. Everyone noticed. He pushed people away over time. He knew they’d never understand. That talking wouldn’t help. He’d begun using Insight Therapy hoping it’d help.

He’d left home after an argument with Owen. Owen had lied about his health along with a few things. He’d begun downplaying everything despite the overwhelming evidence that spoke for Owen. Shiloh had called him out on everything. He’d told Owen that Addie would’ve been ashamed of him for lying and downplaying everything. Owen stormed out after Shiloh screamed at him to say something while knowing he wouldn’t. He’d come back a few hours later, as Charlie, Shiloh’s best friend, was helping him put the last of the things into his car to take him back to his house for the night. Owen gave him a few thousand dollars. Shiloh didn’t want to take it at first. He took it anyway knowing Owen meant well by doing it. It was the only decent thing he did that day.

He’d moved to South Florida. He didn’t care that he was homeless. He knew he’d likely find a job in the weeks after arriving there. He’d hoped so anyway. He’d booked a room at an extended stay Hotel in Brickell hoping he’d have a job by the time the two months were up. He’d applied for everything he knew he was qualified for during the train ride to Miami. He’d gone to Miami Beach after checking into the Hotel. He’d eaten something near the Hotel before going to Miami Beach. He’d watched the sunrise the following morning after wandering around most of the night. He had breakfast in Miami Beach before going back to the Hotel. He’d fallen in love with the area far more than he had before. He’d gone to South Florida to visit his family growing up.

His Uncle had taken him to different places in Miami Beach. She’d let him know he could move in with her if he decided to ever move to Miami Beach. He never had any interest in moving in with him. He wanted to have his own space if he ever moved there. He’d gotten a job as a Dishwasher for one of the high end restaurants after an interview he thought he’d not done so well in. They’d offered him a trial run after liking how he responded to some of the scenarios they asked him about. Ben was willing to give him a shot after seeing how clean he’d kept his area. He moved into an apartment three months later. He’d continued wandering around the areas on his days off. He’d begun going to Therapy. It’d helped him far more than he realized. He was happier than he’d ever been.
