Little Black Book

While playing hide ’n seek in their new house, two brothers found an old briefcase hidden in their attic. Right next to it, like as if it was guarding it, lied a big fat dead rat. The brothers screamed so hard that their parents heard them from the kitchen.
 
Stephen, their dad and biggest hero, went with them to the attic. He grabbed the rat, put it in a bag, and dumped it. Then, he took the briefcase and removed some of the dust off it. But as he was doing so, he noticed there was no name or tags on it; there wasn’t even a keyhole or a combination lock. It was a very old and rare. So, as his two kids and wife watched closely, Stephen finally opened it.
 
Inside he found two things: a bag with $20,000, and a little black book. The money, however, was stained with blood. Somebody’s bloody smeared fingerprints were on those bills.
 
When Tabi saw the blood, she felt scared. She immediately took her kids away so they don’t see that kind of stuff. They were only 8 and 6. Not something you want them to remember or tell their teacher at school.
 
Stephen took the briefcase and its contents to his basement office. He didn’t want his kids exposed to that kind of thing either; so, he put it away in his safe. But not without looking inside the little black book first.
 
The book was as old as the briefcase, and all its pages were written. Stephen felt something in his stomach, he didn’t know what to expect, but he knew it must be good since those bills have somebody’s blood on. Those bills told a story, and Stephen wanted to know it.
 
He took a deep breath and grabbed the cover to opened it. That’s when Tabi yelled calling his name; it was his mom on the phone. Stephen put the book and the money in the briefcase, and then placed it in his safe. He would come back later.
 
That night, at 2:26 AM, while everybody was asleep, he could not stop thinking about it. Tabi had told him to better get rid of it or give it to the police. She didn’t want trouble. He told her that he will. But he didn’t tell her he would read what’s inside first.
 
A minute later, he couldn’t resist anymore. He got up and went to the basement. And there he was with the briefcase opened, the bag with bloody money on the side, and the little black book right in front of him.
 
He opened it, and the first page had this written on:
 
If you are reading this, is because I’m not longer here. I don’t know you and you don’t know me. But if you’ve found this, then I need to ask for your help.
 
Inside the briefcase there’s a bag with 2 stacks of $100 dollar bills. $20,000 cash. But along it sides, lies the key to my justice. For it shows the clue to discover the people who planned my murder. And in the pages of this little black book, lies a specific plan on how to bring them down.
