Dr. Oku is standing over Timothy. Timothy begins to wake up.

Dr. Oku

Timothy. Timothy, can you see me?

Timothy

Yes. Am I in a hospital?

Dr. Oku

Yes. You were dropped off at the emergency room. Do you know who the president is?

Timothy

That depends, did Jim Crowe Joe die yet?

Dr. Oku laughs.

Dr. Oku

No, he is still alive. You still have a sense of humor, that’s good. Do you know what happened to you?

Timothy

It was insane doctor.

Dr. Oku

I’m sorry, my name is Dr. Oku, and you are in Bronx Medical Center.

Timothy

And I’m still alive?

 
Dr. Oku laughs.
 

Dr. Oku

Watch it Timothy, you’re not out of here yet. Timothy you were telling me what happened.

Timothy

This gang attacked me.

Dr. Oku

Before you finish, do you mind if I bring in a detective?

Timothy

No, but they might not believe me.

Dr. Oku

You have chunks taken out of you, but they don’t seem to be animal bites. Let me get the detective.

Dr. Oku walks to the doorway of Timothy’s hospital room and waves detective Sindha in. Detective Sindha take out his mobile device to record Timothy’s statement. Detective Sindha walks to the side of Timothy’s bed, next to Timothy’s side. Detective Sindha presses record on his app.

Detective Sindha

Tell us what happened.

Timothy

Like I said, it was insane. I was standing on the tracks. Waiting for the train, when this group of people came down the stairs mumbling. The words got louder the closer they got to me, Flesh, FLEsh, FLESH. I prepared myself with whatever I could use as a weapon. I hit one with my bag as hard as I could, and they were barely phased. They swarmed me. I kicked one onto the tracks, and they jumped back onto the platform. The others had these little devices that took chunks out of me. I passed out and woke up here.

Detective Sindha and Dr. Oku walk out into the hallway.

Dr. Oku

He needs to rest.

Detective Sandha

Has he passed a psych evaluation?

Dr. Oku laughs

Dr. Oku

We’re about to order one, but I think he’s fine. 

Detective Sindha

I’m gonna check the subway cameras to see what happened.

Detective Sindha walks away.

END SCENE

EXT. NEW YORK CITY STREET
Detective Sindha is in his car calling the MTA’s surveillance division. He ordered the recordings for Hoyt street over night. Detective Sindha told them he was on his way, and made sure they heard the sirens. Detective Sindha arrives at the MTA surveillance division. Detective Sindha walks to the front desk, flashes his badge. The person at the front desk calls the tech – “He’s Here.” The Tech comes out to meet Detective Sindha quickly.

Tech

Detective come with me.

The Tech and Detective Sindha walk quickly to a private room. The Tech closes the door.

Tech

I’m the only one who’s seen this. I don’t know what you want to do with it.

Detective Sindha

Okay.

The Tech plays the recording. A group of people come down the stairs like Timothy said. The group attacks Timothy. The recording also confirms the person jumping onto the platform like they had extra strength. The members of the group take chunks out of Timothy and putting the chunks into something.

Detective Sindha

What is that?

The Tech zooms in.

Tech

Crack pipes detective.

Detective Sindha

What?

Tech

They’re smoking his flesh detective.

Detective Sindha

What are they, some kind of sex cult?

Tech

Keep watching detective.

A person comes into the recording and sprays something on the group. Smoke begins to come from the members of the group as they scurry. One member falls to the tracks and disintegrates into a puddle of blood. The person drags Timothy out of the picture.

Detective Sindha

What the hell? Was that acid? What can do that to a person so quickly?

Tech

Look at the victim. He’s sprayed too, but the stuff does nothing to him. That’s not acid. We got something else going on here detective.

Detective Sindha

I better call the mayor

Tech

Yeah
