Shiloh left home without a second thought after the confrontational argument. She never looked back. She’d rather be happy as herself than miserable in a toxic environment that kept making her sick

Shiloh knew the argument was going to happen at some point. It wasn’t like Adam was ever going to be accepting. He’d checked out a long time ago. He’d not been taking his health seriously on top of that. His health issues being a constant fight because of his stubborn old man syndrome. He didn’t want to deal with everything the way he needed to. It led to Doctors he’d once seen not wanting anything to do with him. She’d taken a hands off approach as time passed. Writing for the day he was hospitalized because of his health issues.

She’d been openly Lesbian after moving to South Florida. She didn’t care she was homeless with nowhere near enough money to survive. Or have a roof over her head for more than a few weeks. She’d booked a private room at a Hostel. She wasn’t so sure she’d be able to stay there after those two weeks. She’d managed to somehow find a job . A few days after arriving. She’d managed to book a few more weeks with her first paycheck. Until a misunderstanding left her wandering the streets of Miami Beach three short weeks after her arrival there.

“I’m not so sure of what I’m going to do” Shiloh sighed, still crying
“That’s why I’m here. Why I’m helping. Come with me. Please” Cassidy replied
“I can’t-” Shiloh began
“I wasn’t asking. You’re coming with me tonight” Cassidy answered
“Okay, okay. Thank you. For everything” Shiloh said
“I’ve seen far too much injustice. Especially with people that’ve been in similar situations as you. It’s unfair. It’s why I’m making the waves I am” Cassidy mentioned
“It’s why I share my story. It’s why I’m speaking up far more. There’s more than enough places around here especially” Shiloh responded

Cassidy had seen Shiloh hauling her belongings behind her to the nearest wall to sit on. She’d watched as Shiloh began crying, while people walked by, unsure of what was going on with her. Unsure of how to help. Just that she was going to help. Shiloh had begun traveling around South Florida sharing her story. The harsh realities of her past affecting her present day life. That her mothers death led to her father checking out. The bare minimum he did. The lack of healthcare she’d received due to lack of insurance. Along with the myriad of other things that led to the unfair advantages she’d experienced. She saw people going through the array of emotions as she shared her story. Some got a rude awakening with her story being told. They realized how judgmental they were about homeless people. Those with disabilities as well.

“I’m going to miss you” Cassidy said
“I’m going to miss you too. I’ll come back for a visit. This is the-” Shiloh began
“Best decision for you. It really is. I’ll come visit you also. Who knows. Maybe I’ll move to Colorado with you at some point” Cassidy smiled
“I’d love that” Shiloh smiled

She’d begun traveling the country over the next year. She’d finally been able to travel the country. She roamed around whatever city she was in during the few days she was there. She’d chosen to move to Colorado. To get out of the bigoted state that’d never once loved her. Far away from people who’d let their actions speak for them. Far away from relatives who’d never once loved her. She’d gone no contact with them after a confrontational argument with them. She’d become far happier living the life of a nomad. The move to Colorado being the best decision she’d made.
